Michael Stegman
After graduating with honors from the University of Kentucky, Colorado’s beautiful scenery and reputation for its high quality of life lured Michael west to attend the University of Colorado Law School.
During law school, Michael served as a Research Assistant for the dean of the law school, a law clerk intern for a district court judge in Boulder, and a Student Practice Act intern for the Boulder County District Attorney’s Office. Michael was also heavily involved with extracurriculars as a staff writer for the Colorado Natural Resources, Energy, & Environmental Law Journal, and as a member of Colorado Law’s Barrister’s Counsel.
Notably, in his third year, Michael was a part of a national championship-winning moot court team that won the best oral argument and best brief in the National Telecommunications Moot Court Competition in Washington, D.C.
After law school, Michael started his legal career as a law clerk for a district court judge in Denver and after his clerkship, he began practicing as an insurance defense attorney. This background gives Michael a unique ability to evaluate and understand his cases from the perspective of “the other side” as he strategizes to obtain the best results for his clients.
In his spare time, Michael is passionate about music, practicing the sport of Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and spending time with his friends and family.
